West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek has been linked with a possible move to Inter Milan, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

The Czech international has been in very good form so far this season, with 4 goals already registered in all competitions.

His displays have been a key catalyst to our Hammers positive start to the campaign, as David Moyes side look to get back to challenging at the high end of the table and chase another European qualification.

It has now been reported in certain sections of the media that Soucek is now the subject of interest from Inter Milan, with reports suggesting that the player could depart with his contract soon to expire.

Our Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee has clarified the situation, with The West Ham Way exclusively reporting in August that Soucek had in fact signed a long term deal with the club.

“There have been a number of reports in various media outlets claiming that Soucek’s contract talks have stalled and Inter Milan are set to make a move,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“This is a completely false story, the player signed a new 4 year deal in the summer, as we exclusively revealed at the time and is said to be very happy at West Ham, which is further backed up by his much improved form this season. The deal hasn’t officially been announced however and simply by knowing his contract would have been up in the summer journalists have put 2 and 2 together.

“The club also intend to trigger a clause on his compatriot Vladimir Coufal’s contract before the end of the season which gives him an automatic years extension. Both players are said to be very happy at the club.”
