In a shock twist, West Ham may sell Jarrod Bowen due to growing interest, according to reports.

Jarrod Bowen is one of, if not the most, loved players amongst West Ham fans. He gave them the most special moment in their club’s history, he works harder than anyone else and he oozes class in every way imaginable. If you asked the East London faithful to sum up West Ham as a person, it probably would be Bowen.

The winger’s brilliance was rewarded with a 7 year contract, and was a further sign of his commitment to the club. However, his impressive form was never going to go without notice.

With an impressive 9 Premier League goals and 1 assist so far this season, GIVEMESPORT report that both Newcastle and Liverpool could try and sign the winger in the coming windows. The Reds in particular are said to have held interest for a while now with Klopp being a big fan.

Understandably, the Irons won’t be keen on the idea of selling Bowen and to make sure that any potential approaches are prevented, they have slapped a price tag of £100 million on him.

Unlike with Declan Rice, the feeling around the club is that the former Hull star wants to stay in East London as long as possible. It makes sense – why else would he have signed a 7 year contract? On top of this, he has recently started a young family with the daughter of one of the most famous Cockneys around. A move away simply does not look to be on the cards right now.

In reality, everyone knows that the chances of him going anywhere is slim to none. While there’s no doubt he could do great things for another team, he could also go down as an icon for the club that gave him his big chance in the Premier League, the club that gave him the best moment in his career, the club that his father-in-law supports. It is clear to see his admiration for this club and how quickly he’s become one of us. From day one he knew what it meant to be a West Ham player.

Some players find glory being a great player for a big club, others find glory in being a legend at a special club.
