West Ham have agreed a contract extension with Lukasz Fabianski, we can report after a top source confirmed the news.

As was reported exclusively last night by ExWHUEmployee on The West Ham Way Patreon, the club have decided to activate a 1-year extension for the Hammers goalkeeper after being impressed by his performances so far this season.

Fabianski was involved last night in our impressive display and victory over Freiburg, which saw West Ham top the Group A in the Europa League and therefore qualify for the last-16 round of the competition.

As we reported earlier, it appeared the club were highly likely to offer the new deal to Fabianski, and now Ex has confirmed that a top source at the club has confirmed the news, with Fabianski set to extend his deal at West Ham to 2025 – after joining from Swansea back in 2018.

Since his arrival in east London, Fabianski has made 173 appearances for the club – making this his longest stint at a club for his entire career. The new deal will see many more appearances too of course.

The West Ham Way can confirm that the top source has quoted the following surrounding the situation:

‘Yes, we have given Fab another year and it is well deserved. He is still an absolutely top keeper.’
