West Ham U18 lead coach Kevin Keen has given huge praise to his players as they overcame London rivals Spurs to comeback and win away from home.

It was a familiar tale for both clubs, with our Hammers going behind to the hosts, but second half goals from Sowunmi, Jones and Halim saw West Ham claim a memorable 4-2 win over the north Londoners.

Keen, who today will be a special guest alongside Academy boss Kenny Brown at The West Ham Way Pre-Match Event, was understandably delighted with his side and admitted this is another very exciting crop of players.

“It is a great way to finish the year because it was a fantastic performance,” Keen told the club’s Official Website.

“It was a really good to come back from 1-0 down and then go again when it was at 2-2. We just kept going and there were some really good individual performances, and it’s a nice one to finish the year on.

“We trust the players whatever age they are. They can play whatever level they are good enough for and that has been a West Ham philosophy for a long, long time.

“I think we showed today a real energy, excitement and enthusiasm to play for West Ham which is good to see!”

Limited tickets are still available for the event at the Colour Factory (close to the London Stadium) for today’s Pre-Match Event, which will be hosted by Martin Allen.

Keen will be the special hues alongside Brown, who is set to provide further insight to the Academy and 1st team, with many young players making significant strides of late.
