West Ham’s Academy of Football capped off a remarkable season with a stunning win away to Crystal Palace.

Despite being 1-0 down at half time, the once again impressive young side showed their undeniable quality but smashing 5 second half goals to take the points back to the east end of the capital.

There were different scorers for all goals, with Casey (51), Marshall (55), Earthy (58), Coventry (75) and Kodua (90+1) turning the game completely on its head.

It capped off a stunning year for our Academy of Football, with the FA Youth Cup and League title south captured giving hope of a bright future ahead for our young Hammers.

The West Ham Way Podcast co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee expressed his pride and excitement for what the future may hold for our club, saying that some are close now to being 1st team contenders.

“Another very impressive performance from the under 21s to complete a simply magnificent season for the lads,” exclaimed a delighted Ex after the win.

“This age group has an abundance of talent, with many showing they should be first team soon.

“It’s great to see Conor Coventry getting a goal like he did to remind people of the talent he has and of course Lewis Orford’s impact as a sub coming at 1-0 and us winning 5-1.

“Of course others played well too and it’s so exciting to think what the future could hold.”
