Lucas Paqueta has expressed his joy in how things are going at West Ham with a real understanding starting to blossom amongst the players.

The Brazilian international was in tantalising form at the weekend, as he pick up all 3 assists for our Hammers goals we we beat Wolves comfortably 3-0 at the London Stadium.

It was a victory that firmly drew a line under the loss the Fulham the weekend before, with the argument that a virus had has a significant impact looking more valid, as David Moyes’ side responded with back-to-back wins and clean sheets to match.

Paqueta was understandably delighted with the result and performance of West Ham at the weekend, highlighting the quality that we have at the club which leaves the question as to how far we can go and what we can achieve this season.

“I like to play, I like to help the team and I’m so happy,” the Irons play maker told the clubs Official Website. “I don’t need to score to make me happy. Three points and the win are my best focus. It’s just this!”

“We know this week is very important for us against two big teams, but in football is eleven against eleven,” the left-back observed.

“Of course, we respect them but we need to try to win. We showed on Sunday we have a good team and we can go on the pitch and try to win every game.”

The number 10 stated that there is a real understanding now between himself, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus, with Paqueta feeling they are now able to make the runs for him to provide the killer ball when we attack.

“Now the guys understand a little bit more and I have this pass,” added Paqueta. “I like to look before I even have the ball and Jarrod and Mo make the runs and I can make the pass.”
