David Moyes has reportedly revealed the truth to friends and family about his future at West Ham and some fans will not be happy.

Despite having so much success during his second stint in East London, David Moyes is a controversial figure amongst the West Ham faithful. Even though he won a major European trophy just over half a year ago, it seems like a dead even split between those who want him gone and those who think he should stay. Well if reports are to be believed, we have our answer as to which group will get what they want.

Journalist Wayne Veysey has claimed that Moyes has told his close friends and family where he lies with West Ham, and the answer seems pretty definite. While the Scotsman believes he has done enough to earn an extension of his current deal, he does not believe that this will happen.

He reportedly said that he “won’t be at West Ham next year.” That can not be misinterpreted, if he really did say that then it seems like his fate is sealed. He has gathered this from the fact there has been no talks regarding a new contract, though it is said that a decision will be made at the end of the season.

However, it could also mean that the gaffer has no interest in staying any longer. With opportunities for multiple different roles, Moyes may think it is time to embark on a new adventure.

If this is to be his last campaign in charge, it is shaping up to be an excellent conclusion to his historic tenure. With a real chance of finishing in a European place for a fourth consecutive year, as well as a Europa League round of 16 tie, Moyes has an opportunity to go out with the admiration of every single West Ham fan.
