West Ham are predicted to have a very unsuccessful trip to north London tomorrow when we take on title-chasing Arsenal at the Emirates.

Despite David Moyes’ side already turning over the Gunners earlier in the season, with a 3-1 win that dumped them out of the Carabao Cup, our Hammers are not predicted to get a repeat of that result as we face them for the 1st time in the league this season.

Arsenal are expected to prove a stern test, especially as they look to recapture top spot in the league following Liverpools victory over Burnley this weekend, however there is hope West Ham can rise to the occasion and spring a surprise.

Despite there being a feeling of frustration over the consistency of Moyes’ side this season, the fact remains West Ham have had a very positive season overall, we we currently sit in 7th spot in the league and just 6 points off the top 4.

BBC Sport pundit and former England striker Chris Sutton though predicts Arsenal will have too much, and has forecast a comfortable win for the Gunners tomorrow night.

“This is a tricky one for Arsenal,” stated Sutton on BBC Sport. “West Ham are in good form, up to sixth place in the table, and always awkward to break down.

“Hammers boss David Moyes is so underrated and also seemingly unappreciated by some fans, no matter how well his side do. I think it is a case where they should be careful what they wish for.

“Still, I am going with Arsenal here. They are at home, where they have won their past seven matches in all competitions, and although West Ham will work hard, they won’t keep them out.”

Sutton predicts that Mikel Arteta’s side will come away with a 3-0 win, however there will be plenty of Hammers faithful that hope West Ham can showcase our undeniable qualities to inflict a tough night for the Gunners.
