West Ham’s Said Benrahma has reportedly demanded the club sell him in the January transfer window.

Expectations for Said Benrahma were extremely high when the Hammers signed him back in 2020. His time at Brentford saw him become one of the biggest talents in the Championship thanks to his abundance of skill and pace. Despite a promising start to life in East London, Benrahma simply has not been good enough.

Unfortunately, this poor form has led him to become nothing more than a rotational player and it seems like the lack of playing time is the final straw for the Algerian.

Fichages.net have reported that the winger has not only handed in a transfer request, but also “demanded” they let him leave next month.

It would be a shock if the board was to stand on his way considering their desire to sell fringe players in January. West Ham are worried about “doing an Everton” due to spending big over the past few windows so, as a result, almost all funds will have to come from player sales.

With interest from Saudi Arabia and France, David Moyes will be hoping he can raise a fair amount of money from any potential sale.

If this is to be the end of his time in Claret and Blue, his penalty in the Conference League final will forever be etched into West Ham history. Things may not have gone as well as we would’ve hoped but every single Hammers fan will hope he can find form wherever he ends up.
