David Moyes has provided a worrying fitness update ahead of our London derby clash with Arsenal tonight.

Our Hammers head to north London to face the title chasing Gunners, with the recent victory over them in the Carabao Cup still relatively fresh in the memory, however there is a feeling this will be a tougher test.

Arsenal though are arguably the ones under more pressure going into this game, following Liverpools recent win in the race for the Premier League crown – whilst West Ham’s current position showing a side very much on track for a European spot this season.

Moyes had admitted though that tonight is expected to be a very tough encounter, especially with the Gunners being such a strong side at home.

“Arsenal will be a huge challenge,” Moyes told the press, as reported by the club’s Official Website. “They have always been a really hard team to beat.

“We had a good result at home against them in the Cup but this is a different competition and I’m sure Arsenal will be a full strength team and going to the Emirates Stadium is never easy either.”

The boss highlighted that the club are in a strong position currently, and says he expects his side to improve further as the season goes on.

“We’re really pleased with the progress we’ve made,” said Moyes. “We’ve got 30 points in the league, which is a really good total for us at this time of year. We want to keep it going and we think we can get better and do even more.”

Moyes though provided some concerning news injury wise, with that Michail Antonio again still out despite is being almost 6 weeks since his injury.

“Michail Antonio isn’t ready yet,” added Moyes bluntly. “I’ll need to see how Nayef Aguerd is. But I think that’s it for the moment.”
