West Ham currently have a number of players nursing injuries, with our insider ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

As has been reported, Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Michail Antonio are all currently on the treatment table, however there are varying states of play in regard to the seriousness of each case.

The West Ham Way Podcast co-host and club insider Ex has shed more light on the current situation.

“The fear is that Paqueta could be out for between 1-2 months and Bowen around a month,” reported Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon, however he has stressed at this stage there is no definitive position.

“No official word has been given yet on the state of play,” Ex advised. “A lot of outlets are speculating, with Paqueta himself already saying on social media that people need to calm down regarding the situation at present.

“There is hope that Mavropanos will be able to return for the Bristol City replay but the club wish to do a few more checks on the players yet.

“The transfer team have been told to step up the drive to get players in quickly and it was interesting to note that club chairman David Sullivan was at the under 21s game yesterday presumably looking to see if he felt of them could make the step up for his own eyes.”

Ex will be keeping fans fully up to date on all club news as it happens on Patreon.
