West Ham are continuing to search for possible reinforcements this January, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

The club have already sanctioned two departures from east London in this transfer window, with Thilo Kehrer departing for Monaco on loan with an view to it being made permanent in the summer, and Conor Coventry bidding farewell for Charlton this week.

Inevitably we are continuing to be linked with players across the media, however our club insider Ex has provided an update of the goings on, with the club looking at an option that has presented itself in Saudi.

“There has been some discussions that we could be interested in some of the Saudi based players who have expressed a desire to move out of the country,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“We have been linked with Henderson and Firmino – with neither having any real substance. There are other players we have been linked with but one worth keeping an eye on his Jota.

“The former Celtic player who is available on a loan having not been registered by his club Al-Ittihad. Lots of Premier League clubs have been alerted to this option too so we will face competition.”

There is another player who the club hace been alerted too, who the club have been keen on before who is understood to be available on loan – Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Philips.

“England international and continually linked player that might come onto the radar again is Kalvin Philips,” added our club insider.

“David Moyes is a big fan and the player is home grown and available for a loan. His wages could prove too much in this window and he is likely to join Newcastle.

“It is worth keeping an eye on this deal because should a move to Newcastle not happen then Man City may look at other options where more of his wages are covered by his parent club.”

Ex will be keeping fans up to date on the situation as it develops on The West Ham Way Patreon.
