West Ham are in talks to potentially sign Al-Ittihad winger Jota, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

As had been exclusively revealed by our Podcast co-host on The West Ham Way Patreon earlier in the window, our recruitment team headed up by Tim Stediten, have identified the former Celtic player as a target for this January transfer window – with Ex advising this is still the case even if we acquire Ibrahim Osman.

It is understood though that the departure of others this window would make the move more likely, with our club insider advising that West Ham are actively trying to offload Said Benrahma.

“The are still some talks with Jota on a loan deal,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “Whilst it would seem unlikely they we would sign Osman and Jota, the departure of Said Benrahma may enable this to happen.

“The club are actively trying to encourage clubs to sign Benrahma – and at this stage would also consider loan moves to move him on.”

Ex has also advised that the club would entertain offers for other players this window, as we look to continue to strengthen, following the imminent loan signing of Kalvin Phillips of Manchester City.

“Should an offer come in for Fornals, where a few Spanish clubs have shown interest or Cornet – these would also be entertained,” added Ex.

Ex will be keeping fans up to date on the situation as it develops further, on The West Ham Way Patreon.
