Tottenham Hotspur could be about to hijack yet another one of West Ham’s top January targets.

Ahead of the January transfer window, it was expected that West Ham were going to make a move for Timo Werner on loan. Unfortunately, rivals Tottenham acted swiftly and managed to secure his services for the next six months.

Now, it looks like Spurs could swoop in for another one of the Hammers attacking targets from right under their noses.

Just a matter of days ago, Ibrahim Osman looked set to move to East London. The Ghana international had turned down the likes of Brighton and Brentford in order to join West Ham and a deal was said to be close. Disappointingly, the deal collapsed due to complications surrounding the player’s agent as well as what FC Nordsjaelland were demanding.

According to reporter Ben Jacobs, the North London side could be set to make a move for him. Brennan Johnson has failed to impress the Lilywhites and, as such, Osman could be the perfect addition to Ange’s squad.

With just a couple of days left until the window shuts, you would think it would be unlikely that a deal is resurrected for Osman to join West Ham, but with football you never know. Anything can change in an instant and the majority of journalists have refused to completely rule out a deal – could there be one more twist in the tale before the window slams shut.
