West Ham tonight have the chance to make a significant step towards European football for the 4th consecutive season.

Our Hammers host Bournemouth at the London Stadium in the knowledge that a victory would see David Moyes’ side create a 6-point gap between ourselves in 6th and Newcastle United in 7th position – although Manchester United, who we play on Sunday, could close that gap when they take on Wolves later.

There are at present 17 matches left to play in the Premier League, so plenty of twists and turns to come yet it is felt – however The West Ham Way Podcast host Dave Walker feels that West Ham must be victorious in matches like tonight, in order to really contend for the top spots this season.

“A big game tonight and with Villa dropping points it’s a good opportunity to make some ground on the top 5,” stated Walker. “If we are seriously going to compete for another European finish this season then these are the games we have to win.”

Walkers co-host for the Podcast, ExWHUEmployee, agrees in regards to the magnitude of the match, with our club insider understandably excited by who we could see feature, as we look to gain a valuable 3 points.

“Today is another big game, like they all are,” said Ex. “We need to win to keep up with the teams above looking to sneak into the Champions League spots.

“It is great that we have Kudus back as obviously that massively improves us, and I’m looking forward to seeing Phillips too.

“I am hearing there is a chance Antonio could be back as well which will give us another option in attack thankfully. Solanke is their danger man and if we can keep him quiet we should take the three points.”
