West Ham’s current injury situation is set to improve for David Moyes, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

The club have somewhat suffered a crisis in recent weeks, with injuries felt throughout the squad, which has played its part on the slump in results in all competitions.

Hammers boss Moyes though has seen the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Edson Alvarez recover from their respective injury issues, and he is now set to receive a welcome boost in regards to the fitness of Michail Antonio and Lucas Paqueta.

Antonio has now returned to training and it is hoped he will be available for selection this Sunday when we face Arsenal at the London Stadium.

“We understand that there’s now a chance Antonio will be fit to face Arsenal on Sunday,” reported Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“He has been working at Rush Green on his recovery, and its now believed he is very close to being available, which is likely to be from the bench should he be passed fit.”

Furthermore, its understood that Paqueta is too getting closer to a return, with the Brazilian also back at Rush Green over the last few days as he builds up his recovery.

“Lucas Paqueta is getting closer, although with him it may be that Arsenal is too soon unfortunately,” added our club insider.

David Moyes himself has commented on Paqueta, stating that the player is ‘a week or two away’ from returning, as reported in the Evening Standard.

It’s therefore felt at this stage that a return against Nottingham Forest (17th) or at worst Brentford (26th) is the likely situation at this time. There will be hope though the former Lyon playmaker will make strides this week and possibly be available earlier than expected.
