West Ham have been handed a massive boost ahead of Sunday’s London derby against Arsenal.

Already, West Ham have managed to beat rivals Arsenal twice this season. Their 3-1 and 2-0 wins have been two extremely memorable results for West Ham fans and it has left them desperate for a treble. Given both side’s recent run of form, it seems like it will be difficult for East London to beat North again, but injuries could swing it in the host’s favour.

The Gunners have been without forceful midfielder Thomas Partey for the majority of the season and, despite the fact he is nearing return, it is unlikely he will be available for Sunday’s game. Arsenal are yet to get a true taste of what a midfield duo of Rice and Partey is like.

On top of this, versatile midfielder/defender Oleksander Zinchenko was substituted off against Liverpool last weekend with a calf issue. This is the same injury that has caused him issues time and time again. It remains to be seen whether he will be fit for the London derby but he will be a massive miss if not.

Unfortunately for West Ham, Takehiro Tomiyasu has returned from the Asia Cup and is expected to be available for selection.

While David Moyes suggested that both Michail Antonio and Lucas Paqueta will be unavailable, he does like to play mind games when it comes to injuries. If either one of them are back it could give our Irons the edge in what is a massive game for both sides.
