David Moyes has provided a disappointing team news update head of the London derby with Arsenal this Sunday.

Our Hammers host the Gunners at the London Stadium hoping to make it a hat-trick of victories over the north Londoners following our 3-1 win the Carabao Cup and the 2-0 win at the Emirates earlier in the season.

Mikel Artetas side are chasing a Premier League title and will no doubt provide a stern test for David Moyes’ Irons, and the Scot has disclosed an update regarding player fitness which will provide a boost to Arsenal.

“Lucas Paquetá isn’t ready yet,” stated Moyes to the press, as reported by the clubs Official Website. “Michail Antonio has started training, but has only trained for two days with the group. It’s great having him back training, but he’s still off it in terms of match fitness and being available.

“We’ve tried to give the players a bit of time training together, which we’ve needed because we’ve been off the boil a little.

“Getting them all back together has been good and hopefully we can build on it. We’ve beaten Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea this year. We’re giving the top teams a game and hopefully we can so the same on Sunday.”

The boss was asked if he was confident for Sunday, especially as West Ham have triumphed over Arsenal twice already this season.

“It doesn’t make me feel more confident, but it makes me feel that we’ve shown we can take points off Arsenal.

“We’ve scored goals against them and that would be the key again to give ourselves a chance. Our home form has been pretty good in the main this season and hopefully we can keep it up.”
