Pundit lays into West Ham, calling them an “absolute disgrace”, for their performance against Arsenal.

Many West Ham fans believe that their 6-0 defeat to Arsenal was one of, if not, the worst performances they have ever seen. From the minute that first goal went in, there was no desire or fight from any of the players in claret and blue.

Despite the scores being level half hour into the game, the Hammers went into the second half 4-0 down and Roy Keane absolutely ripped into their performance. “West Ham, the last 10 or 15 minutes [of the first half], have been an absolute disgrace,” he stated on Sky Sports.

“The first half an hour was a bit cagey, obviously, as Arsenal were getting on top. But it’s the type of goals they were giving away. They’re not being physical, they’re not tackling. Odegaard, nobody’s laid a glove on him.”

“There’s ways to lose a game of football, but the way West Ham are doing it, they look sluggish in midfield. They’re running back, no desire, no hunger. David Moyes must be fuming at half-time.”

“All credit to Arsenal, they’ve turned up, they’ve flexed their muscles. They look sharp, they look at it. West Ham, disgraceful.”

Unfortunately, Keane was spot on with everything he said and things were just as bad in the second-half. West Ham fans can handle losing, after all Arsenal are fighting for the title, but what really hurts is that not a single player looked up for it.

If they had shown some fight, shown some grit and shown some backbone then supporters would have been able to look past the result. Not only was none of this shown, but there was not a single player that looked like they were bothered in the slightest. If you give it your all then you will be loved in East London, a performance like that though is exactly how you lose the fans.
