Despite the majority of West Ham fans wanting him to be sacked, David Moyes is still likely to be offered a new contract according to reports.

Many West Ham fans were expecting big things heading into 2024. They had just beat Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates and were in a perfect position to solidify their place in Europe for a fourth season in a row.

Unfortunately things have not gone to plan, the Hammers find themselves in 8th place, without a win this year and have to watch a team who do not look interested in the slightest.

It should come as no surprise that the large majority of the East London faithful now want David Moyes to face the sack less than a year after they won the Europa Conference League. ‘Moyes out’ banners were littered around the away end at Nottingham Forest and chants of “sacked in the morning” were being sung by both sets of fans.

Much to the dismay of those who want him gone, Football Insider believes that he is still likely to be offered a new contract, as long as he can turn performances around. They suggest that the club will wait until the end of the season before making a final decision on his future but they expect him to be given an extension.

Obviously, if things do not turn round, the board may be forced to reconsider this and they have already started looking at potential replacements in case the abysmal form continues.
