Tim Steidten needs convincing by the West Ham board to stay at the club, especially if David Moyes gets a new contract.
In the short time that he has been at the club, Tim Steidten has managed to completely change the structure of West Ham United. From how the recruitment is done right up to the moment the deal is done, Steidten has made things run like a well oiled machine.
However, the German’s time in East London could be short lived as it is believed Liverpool are keen on signing him as a technical director. Considering that his former colleague Xabi Alonson is heavily rumoured to be Klopp’s replacement, it could make convincing him even harder.
According to The Guardian, the former Bayer Leverkusen man has had issues with David Moyes from day 1 as they clashed over who to sign. They believe that this was also the case in the January transfer window and that the manager rejected a lot of Steidten’s players.
Therefore, if Moyes is to be offered a new contract, it would be no surprise if Steidten chose to move on. After all, if the Scotsman is blocking him from doing the majority of his job why would he want to stay at West Ham.
On one hand it makes a lot of sense as to why he would consider leaving but, on the other hand, you have to question why he would bring his brother to the club if he was planning on joining another club in the Summer?
Either way, the board should be doing everything in their power to keep hold of Steidten; he is one of the best at what he does and it would be a massive loss to West Ham.
