Tomas Soucek has sung his praises for teammate who is on a “different level” to everyone else at West Ham.
You can not help but think that this West Ham squad is one that will be spoken about for years to come. The last few years have been some of the most successful in the club’s history and there have been some special players who have worn the claret and blue during that period.
Despite Declan Rice leaving last Summer, the Hammers have managed to maintain a push for European football, but there is one player that seems to make everything tick: Lucas Paqueta.
Without the Brazilian the Hammers have failed to win a single game this season and with him they look like a completely different side. As such, it is no surprise that his first game back from injury was the first game they won in 2024.
Thankfully, his ability has not gone unnoticed by his teammates and Tomas Soucek was keen to praise him in a recent interview.
“We know his quality,” Soucek stated. “He’s a different [level] of player to all of us — it’s sometimes difficult to play next to him! He’s a top player, his quality is unbelievable. He can keep the ball, he connect perfectly with Emerson with his passes and he can add something extra.”
“I’m happy for him. He came back and straight away we won so hopefully he can stay fit for the next games.”
After being dropped from some of their recent squads for an unknown reason, it was today announced that Paqueta is finally back in the Brazil set up and it is fully deserved. It is unbelievable that a player of that quality plays for our Irons, let’s just hope we can keep hold of him for as long as possible.
