David Moyes has declared that West Ham are now back in the groove ahead of our Europa League last-16 clash with Freiburg tonight.

The Irons manager is excited about another chance to make the headlines on the European stage, as we head to Germany to take on a side we have overcome twice already this season in the group stage, giving hope West Ham can again get the job done.

“I want us to have another great run in Europe,” Moyes told the press, as reported by the clubs Official Website. “I’d also like us to qualify for Europe again in the league.

“We had a period where we weren’t so good, but we’re back on form at the moment, and I sense we’re getting back to where we should be. Hopefully that continues tomorrow night.”

The manager also provided an update in regards to the fitness within his squad, with Max Cornet to miss out and Nayef Aguerd a doubt.

“Lucas Paquetá has only just come back from injury, but he’s done really well and I think the pair of them have linked up well,2 said the boss.

“We’ve got a question mark about Nayef Aguerd and Maxwel Cornet hasn’t travelled, so we’ll have to see about those two.”

Moyes also sent a message to the West Ham fans tonight, acknowledging the travel issues many are facing in getting the game later.

“I think there’s been some travel disruption, so I hope they get here OK and are able to support the team,” added Moyes.

We also spoke with The West Ham Way Podcast host Dave Walker, who is in a confident mood ahead of the game in Germany.

“Tonight is all about getting the job done,” said Walker. “It’s knockout football now so all I care about is getting to the next round. I would take a draw tonight but would ideally want the pressure off when they come to us, especially as we are a much better side.”
