Manchester City are “willing to wait” for Lucas Paqueta’s betting scandal to come to a close before making a move for him.

Lucas Paqueta is one of the players that you can not help but adore. His work rate, skill and determination to do his very best every time he steps onto the pitch is what makes him such a sensational player. He is an absolute joy to watch and he would not look out of place at any club in Europe.

Unfortunately for West Ham, it’s not just any club that’s interested in acquiring his services, but arguably the best club in the world: Manchester City.

Last season’s treble winners were set to make a bid for the midfielder last Summer before he got caught up in a betting scandal surrounding some suspicious yellow cards.

While there was hope that signing Matheus Nunes would eliminate their need for a midfielder, the Portuguese international has failed to impress since joining.

Some have speculated that City may turn to other targets if the FA fail to reach a conclusion soon. However, journalist Jack Gaughan has claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side are “willing to wait” for the Brazilian.

Obviously, this is awful news for the Hammers as they have been hanging on to any sort of hope that they can keep hold of their Brazilian Magnifico. Much to their dismay, they could now be witnessing his final run of games in claret and blue.
