Tomas Soucek has won a prestigious award ahead of a massive end to the season.

After a rather disappointing season or two, West Ham have finally got Tomas Soucek back at his best. The midfielder has scored an impressive 9 goals across all competitions this campaign, with an insane amount of last minute ones. He really has been a clutch player this term.

He has not just been scoring goals though, his defending, passing and how he has put himself about has been reminiscent of those first couple of seasons he had in East London.

Thankfully, his hard work to get back to his best has not gone unnoticed as he has been awarded the Czech Football of the Year award for 2023. Over the course of the last year he has captained his country to Euros qualification and won the Europa Conference League, two massive achievements that he should be immensely proud of.

If the Hammers are going to make this season another historic one by capitalising on their extremely strong position, then Soucek will play a massive part in that. The way he has performed this season has been absolutely game changing and is a huge reason as to why the East London side are where they are.

As challenging as it may be, West Ham have every chance of winning back-to-back trophies and, at the very least, they will be hoping to secure some form of European football next season – they need the midfielder to keep up his immense form if they are to achieve this.
