A journalist has tipped West Ham to replace David Moyes with “a very big name”.

It is impossible to predict David Moyes’ future at the minute. West Ham may not offer him a contract and, if he is, he may not even choose to sign an extension.

In the event that he is no longer at the helm next season, West Ham will have to have the near impossible task of appointing someone who can follow up on one of the club’s most successful managers ever.

Many have claimed that they need to take a risk on someone in order to succeed but, according to Michael Bridge they are likely to go the complete opposite way. “You’re always going to have fans who just aren’t having him. I’ve got a couple of West Ham fans that I know that aren’t having him. I’ve always given it the, how can you not like this? But then they’re the ones paying the money, I’m not paying the money,” he stated when speaking to GIVEMESPORT.

“If it was to be the end of David Moyes, a couple of people I know at West Ham kind of give me the impression that it’s not going to be another good young English coach. They’d probably target a very big name, because I think there are going to be some big names available. And people say, well, would they go to West Ham? Well, let’s wait and see. I think West Ham would look big if Moyes was to move on.”

Big names aren’t always the way to go, but Tim Steidten knows what he’s doing. If he thinks a well known manager is the right man for the job, then there’s every chance they are.
