West Ham are set to battle both the European elite and Premier League rivals for the signature of an English wonder-kid at the end of the season.

With Tim Steidten in charge of transfers, we are witnessing a brand new era of West Ham United. Now that the squad has an extremely strong core set of players, you can expect more young, exciting prospects to be brought in.

Unsurprisingly, the recruitment team have already started looking at potential incomings for the Summer and, according to Football Insider, they could attempt to sign Juventus’ Samuel Iling-Junior.

The 20-year-old is a versatile attacker who operates primarily on the left-wing. He has already featured in 17 Serie A games this season, securing 3 goal involvements in that time. His most recent attention grabbing performance came in England U21’s 7-0 win over Luxembourg where he scored a brace.

Unfortunately for the Italian giants, it looks unlikely that the youngster will extend his contract beyond any further. Considering it is expiring next year, it is no wonder they are looking to cash in.

In order to acquire his services, the Hammers will have to compete with Everton, Tottenham and Brighton as well as both Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.

Iling-Junior is one of the biggest talents in Europe at the moment. He is extremely raw still but, with the right development, he could be world-class. Let’s just hope that we can convince him that the London Stadium is the best next step for him.
