West Ham can take a big step towards European qualification in a six-pointer at St James Park, in the early kick off this weekend.

David Moyes’ side go into the fixture having turned the tide after a horrid run of form following the turn of the new year.

However, the return of key players especially Lucas Paqueta has seen our Hammers return to a much improved setup that has seen the club firmly back in the race for Europe next season.

Newcastle themselves will be hoping to reassert themselves in the race, so it’s expected to be a fierce contest, although West Ham look to have the advantage at this stage on the injury front.

Newcastle are expected to be without a vast amount of key players today including Sven Botman, Sandro Tonali, Nick Pope, Lewis Miley and Calum Wilson.

This is compounded with a list of players who are doubtful, with Kieron Trippier, Joelinton, Harvey Barnes and Valentino Livramento all very much 50/50 to make the squad for the hosts.

West Ham could be boosted with the return of Max Cornet to the squad, although David Moyes has admitted that Lucas Paqueta, Nayef Aguerd and Mohammed Kudus will be assessed ahead of the game.

Today’s match kicks off at 12:30 and is being shown live on TNT Sports 1 & TNT Sports Ultimate.
