Lukasz Fabianski has revealed that his vision was impacted by Chirewa for Wolves’ disallowed goal.

Whenever he’s been called upon this season, Lukasz Fabianski has shown little signs of his age affecting him. Since joining West Ham, he has been a brilliant keeper and has taken to becoming a backup for Areola gracefully.

Despite making some solid saves, Fabianski wanted to highlight the performance of Michail Antonio instead for changing the game with his performance. He has always delivered and to reach that number is great,” the former Polish international told the official site. “Big credit to him and for his work ethic, because that speaks a lot about the way he is for this Football Club.”

The majority of the talk surrounding the game has been about Wolves’ later equaliser being disallowed for offside. For some reason the media has decided to latch on to a debatable decision and made it out to be the worst ever. However, if what he stated is true, Fabianski has revealed that the goal was rightfully disallowed under the current rules.

You always have different thoughts when [goals go in like that] but there was a clear offside there,” he said.”

“So, I think the referee made the right decision. He [Chirewa] was right in front of me, so in some ways he’s affecting my reactions because it cuts the time I have.”

“Wolves played very well in the first half, but we didn’t play up to our standards. The reaction was great – we have a lot of quality and when we upped our intensity we came back into the game.”

Whether it was right or not, it’s about time something went our Irons way. The amount of points we’ve lost this season due to poor officiating is outrageous but, even then, the Wolves one is nowhere near as bad as some of those.
