West Ham have provided a positive update on George Earthy following his distressing injury against Fulham.

In the few minutes that he was on the pitch, George Earthy was a breath of fresh air. He was making runs, constantly wanted the ball and just looked determined to make an impact.

Unfortunately, his substitute appearance was cut short after just a few minutes. A collision with Edson Alvarez saw the youngster hit his head on the floor, registering him unconscious. After lengthy treatment on the pitch, he was carried off on a stretcher and taken to hospital.

Thankfully, as our own ExWHUEmployee revealed, West Ham have now confirmed that Earthy seems to be ok. He suffered from a broken nose and a concussion but aside from that, scans showed no damage.

This is obviously brilliant news as it was genuinely a frightening few minutes and it really could have been something awful. George now has to follow concussion guidelines before he can return to playing.

He as well as his family are massive West Ham fans and you can only imagine the pride they had when he came on for his Premier League debut. Hopefully he can come back stronger from this setback and play the minutes he deserves.
