West Ham have been handed a massive injury boost ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace this weekend.

At this stage in the Premier League season, nothing matters except results. If West Ham are to secure another season of European football, they will have to pick up as many points as they can before the campaign ends and that starts with their trip to Selhurst Park on Sunday.

Simply put, nothing except three points is good enough if they are to achieve their goals. Thankfully though, they’ve been given a massive edge over their London rivals.

Palace boss Oliver Glasner has confirmed that up to 9 players could be absent for the game this weekend. Firstly there is Jefferson Lerma who suffered an injury in their last game against Liverpool.

Then there is defender Marc Guehi as well as his fellow Englishmen Sam Johnstone and Rob Holding are all set to be unavailable. The final absence that is confirmed is that of Cheick Doucoure.

On top of these, there are a number of doubts in: Will Hughs, Joel Ward, Matheus Franca and Chris Richards.

While the Hammers are having their own injury problems, their issues are nowhere near the same level as Palace’s. It is an opportunity they have to take advantage of – but the same was said ahead of their trip to Newcastle.
