West Ham will have to battle multiple clubs to sign a world-class striker this Summer, but they may be given a unique advantage.

The coming transfer window needs to be a spectacular one for West Ham. Not only are they likely going to be needing a new manager, but they will also need a complete overhaul of their squad.

Obviously, a couple of centre backs will be needed as well as some squad players, However, arguably the most important signing will be a striker. They’ve tried and failed to replace Michail Antonio but they must succeed this time around.

In order to minimise the risk of failure, it looks like the club are targeting big names and one such player is Santiago Giminez. The Mexican is someone the Hammers have shown interest in before and for good reason. His goal scoring record is sensational, bagging 24 in all competitions this season.

According to Football Insider, they could reignite their interest this Summer and battle Arsenal, Tottenham and AC Milan for his signature.

Unfortunately, West Ham are at a disadvantage compared to these clubs as European football is said to be a massive sticking point for Giminez. Thankfully though, they could have a unique advantage that could persuade him.

While nothing is concrete, Feyenoord’s manager Arne Slot is rumoured to be on the Hammers’ list of Moyes replacements. If they can convince the Dutchman to move to East London, then his current No.29 may follow.
