Michail Antonio has stated that the hunt for European football next season is still alive for West Ham.

The Hammers striker has been in stunning form of late since his return from injury, and was again on target at the weekend with a towering header to rescue a point against visitors Liverpool.

The forward has admitted his form has been very good of late, as he feels the confidence levels rising more every week as we continue our push for a top 7 finish.

“I’ve got three goals in the last three games and I’m really building the confidence up and believe that, every game I go into, I’m going to score, so hopefully I can keep that run going,” Antonio stated to the clubs Official Website.

He also had high praise for teammate and fellow goalscorer on Saturday, Jarrod Bowen, who was also on hand to assist with Antonio’s leveller.

“One thing I know about Jarrod is that, if he is on his left foot and I’m in space, he’ll pick me out!” Micky said. “His left foot is unbelievable and it was an unbelievable cross. He is a massive player for us and key to how we play.”

Although the chances of European football next season appear slim, Antonio says the players are still fighting to grab that 7th spot this season.

“Hopefully we can keep going, keep pushing and get that European slot,” he added.
