The long-term future of Vladimir Coufal at West Ham is now in doubt, with the club potentially looking to offload the Czech international.

Coufal, who signed for our Hammers back in 2020 from Slavia Prague, has fallen somewhat down the pecking order in his position of right-back within David Moyes’ defence in recent months, with Thilo Kehrer and Ben Johnson the preferred choices for the Hammers boss.

That, coupled with a struggle to return to form from a hernia injury last year is significantly hampering the Czechs opportunities at London Stadium, thus making a move looking ever more likely on the cards.

It is understood that Bayer Leverkusen are huge admirers of the Czech defender, and the German side could make a move as from January the player is allowed to talk to potential suitors.

Coufals current deal expires at the end of the season, and although West Ham have the option to extend by 2 years, it’s looking more likely David Moyes will look to offload and seek a fresh face within the side.
