West Ham are interested in bringing Lorient striker Terem Moffi to East London this January.

The club had explored the option of Youssef En-Nesyri of Sevilla, however the player has decided to remain in Spain despite a loan deal being reached between both clubs.

West Ham, who have held a firm interest in Moffi also, are now set to ramp up interest and explore the possibility of the Nigerian joining the club this transfer window.

As reported by ExWHUEmployee on The West Ham Way Podcast, David Moyes is a big admirer of the striker, who has bagged 10 goals in all competitions already this season.

Ex also stated that new Director of Football Mark Noble is said to “want him”, which could add further to the notion that West Ham will make a formal move soon.

As reported previously, the club have already enquired about the player, with Ex stating his agent is pushing for a move to the Premier League.

Southampton are also interested in the forward however they have seen a bid rejected, which adds some urgency to a situation that may force the club to act.

Ex will keep fans up to draw on the progress of all transfer news when they happen first & foremost on The West Ham Way Patreon.
