West Ham are hopeful of capturing the signing of Danny Ings from Aston Villa, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The former Liverpool striker has been long admired by the club with our Hammers in the running to sign him from Southampton before his move to the midlands.

Reporting on Patreon, Ex has revealed that West Ham have launched a formal offer to Villa for their striker, with the club believed to be considering it to enable them to finance moves for their targets this January.

Our man-in-the-know however has stressed that at this stage it is unclear on the players feelings towards the move, but West Ham are hopeful that a deal can be reached.

Another forward of interest is Atlanta striker Duvan Zapata, which Ex disclosed exclusively on The West Ham Way Podcast, despite this being published by the Daily Mail without appropriate credit.

Zapata though is a target for fellow strugglers Everton, and the expected fee of around £25m for a 31 year old could be an issue.
