West Ham today take on Newcastle United at St James’ Park in a game which will really show whether a corner us being turned this season under David Moyes.

In what has been a very difficult campaign thus far, Moyes has found himself under enormous pressure of late as he aims to steer the club away from the wrong end of the table, although there are certainly signs of encouragement.

West Ham have recorded only 1 defeat in the last 5 matches in all competitions, with the club notching back to back  2-0 victories against Everton and Derby County respectively – building much needed confidence ahead of our trip to face the in-form Magpies.

Moyes has provided a huge injury update this week by declaring that new signing Danny Ings could well be available for selection to face Newcastle, as he recovers well from a knee injury sustained on his debut against Everton.

Unfortunately the match will come too soon for Gianluca Scamacca, Kurt Zouma and Max Cornet as they all recover from injury also.

Newcastle will be without the influential Bruno Guimaraes, who is suspended following his red card in midweek against Southampton in the Carabao Cup.

Alexander Isak is a major doubt with a suspected concussion while Javier Manquillo, Matt Targett and Emil Krafth will all miss out with injuries.

Todays match kicks off at 5:30pm and is being shown live on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR.
