West Ham have been handed a huge injury boost head of our relegation six-pointer against Southampton on Sunday.

In what has so far been a disappointing season domestically for our Hammers, we now enter the business end of the campaign with the battle to avoid the drop significantly intensifying – especially with only 4 points separating the bottom 9 clubs.

West Ham are fully in the grips of the battle and the match against Southampton this weekend is seen as one of the biggest of the campaign so far, with David Moyes desperately seeking a vital 3 points to ease the threat of Championship football next season.

David Moyes, although under considerable pressure going into the game, has been handed a huge injury boost on both fronts to give his side a firm advantage and leaves little to no room for excuses.

The visitors are set to be without 2 key players – with centre back Armel Bella-Kotchap picking up a serious injury, and also their top goalscorer Che Adams looking doubtful.

Bella-Kotchap looks to have dislocated his shoulder in their last league match against Spurs, meaning he could even miss the rest of the season.

Che Adams had to withdraw from the Scotland squad in midweek having come off injured, with the south-coast club assessing the extend of the injury. It is however widely expected he will be missing from the match at London Stadium on Sunday.

To add further positive news for Moyes ahead of the game, West Ham at this stage have a fully fit squad for the first time this season, providing the Scot the armoury needed ahead of the crucial encounter.

“This is a massive boost for us ahead of this must-win game,” said Ex on The West Ham Way Podcast. “At the moment there are no reported injury issues which is a great thing for us.

“So pending no injuries are picked up, to have a fully fit squad at this stage of the season could prove vital, especially on Sunday with Southampton losing key players.”
