West Ham are looking ahead to another busy summer once the season concludes, with club insider ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

Although our Premier League status has been secured for next season, our Hammers still have the chance to achieve Europa League qualification should we win the Europa Conference League trophy over Fiorentina on 7th June.

This will play a big part in our pulling power, so although names are being drawn up as potential targets for the club, at this stage it is still early in the process.

Ex has reported recently and previously that David Moyes will sit down with the hierarchy to discuss his future once this campaign is over, although at this stage it’s expected he’ll remain at the helm unless he decides he wishes to move on.

A big factor in our European success will be the pursuit of Fulham defensive midfielder João Palhinha, a player that was identified on Martin Allen’s Podcast ‘Mad Dog Bites’ a few weeks ago.

As reported previously also was our interest in Coventry City striker Viktor Gyökeres as an alternative to Michail Antonio, although their Championship Play-Off Final this weekend will play a significant factor in this potential move.

The Premier League relegation battle will also play a part in determining our target list, with the club keen admirers of Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes, whilst also showing an interest in both Luke Thomas and Wilfred Ndidi.

“There is also some interest in Jordan Pickford and Amadou Onana should Everton drop,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “As well as the likes of Ward-Prowse and Roméo Lavia from Southampton and Jack Harrison from Leeds.

”We are also looking at a few young players who are on the fringes of top clubs such as  Cole Palmer at Manchester City and Reiss Neilson of Arsenal.

”The club are expected to bring in around 5-7 players but this obviously depends on players out-with contracts expected to be offered to Fabianski and Ogbonna to remain at the club.”
