West Ham remain confident of securing the signing of Mohammed Kudus despite late interest from others, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

As previously and exclusively reported by our club insider Ex, the club have identified the Ajax winger as a key target, with Tim Steidten understood to be in Bulgaria to conclude the deal, following Ajax’s 4-1 away victory to Ludogorets in the Europa League play-off last night – with Kudus scoring a hattrick.

“There was a strong chance that Mohammed Kudus would play because the game is of big importance to the Dutch giants,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“The good news is he won’t be cup-tied if he joins West Ham because those rules have been changed now for European competition. The only thing the hattrick has done will now empathise to the club, player and agent how valuable he is.”

Ex though has confirmed that there is interest from other clubs, namely from the Saudi league. Although despite this, the club remain confident of securing his signature.

“There was rumours of late interest from Saudi clubs and I believe this to be true,” added Ex. “One very well placed source described the situations as “Saudis are in for him, making it a bit difficult”.

“The player has however previously expressed apparently that he is not tempted by a move to that league yet but of course money talks. At the moment the club remain confident he will sign and Tim Steidten is out in Bulgaria to get the deal over the line and fly him back in a private jet, as we have seen with previous signings.”

Kudus himself was interviewed following Ajax’s emphatic victory last night, and revealed that it was likely to be his final outing for the Dutch side, and even gave a compliment to West Ham when questioned on the reported move to east London.

“Yes, I think it was my final game here at Ajax,” Kudus stated after the match, as reported by the Evening Standard. “But let’s see what happens in the next day.

“The talks are going on. We have to see if an agreement is reached in the next days.”

When asked about West Ham directly, the highly rated Ghanaian said: “Good club, yes.”
