West Ham winger Max Cornet is being linked with an exit from the club this summer, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The Ivory Coast international only joined our Hammers last summer, however unfortunately his first season was plagued by injury and this has significantly hampered his progression at the club.

Although the player has stated that he is keen to kick on for West Ham this season, it appears other clubs are now interested with the summer transfer window drawing to a close this weekend.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, ExWHUEmployee has reported that Cornets former boss at Burnley, Sean Dyche, is looking at possibly reuniting with the player at his current club Everton.

“Everton have started to make moves for Maxwell Cornet,” stated our club insider. “Their manager Dyche worked with him at Burnley and are keen to get him to the club.

“This would actually help West Ham, who want to create an extra space in the squad by removing a non home grown player, enabling further additions.”

It appears that talks with the Merseyside club surrounding Danny Ings have also taken place, which is how the subject of a potential move for Cornet originated/

“Cornet was brought to Everton’s afternoon when discussing Ings,” added Ex. “Nottingham Forest have also entered the mix for Cornet it seems.”

Ex will keep fans up to date on Patreon on the progress of the talks as they develop further.
