A West Ham player has been pictured meeting his agent in London following speculation over his future at the club.

With the joint smallest, second oldest squad in the league, West Ham need a massive Summer as it is, but when you take into account potential player departures that becomes a monstrous task. The likes of Lucas Paqueta, Aaron Cresswell and Ben Johnson are all likely to depart due to various reasons, but there could be others who join them.

There was some confusion over whether Vladimir Coufal was coming to the end of his contract, but there is still another year remaining on it. The Hammers would like to extend this but they’ve been unable to reach an agreement over wages as of yet.

Interestingly, there have been some rumours that some clubs are showing interest in acquiring the Czech’s services. Further suspicions have been raised as today he has pictured with his agent in London.

Obviously, there’s no indication what this meeting was about; it could be to discuss a new contract, a potential move away or just a catch up. However, the timing does seem convenient considering we are now at the end of the season.

With Johnson set to leave, you’d expect that the Irons would be desperate to keep hold of Coufal, but he is certainly someone who could be upgraded upon. Nonetheless, he’s still a brilliant player on his day and hopefully a bit of competition will push him to do even better at the London Stadium.
