West Ham are in talks with key players over extending their contracts with the club, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

Following what has been a busy summer for West Ham once again, with new arrivals and notable departures during the window, followed by an excellent start to the campaign – attention now turns to retaining key personnel as we look to push on further.

As reported previously by Ex, the club have been in discussions with certain players in recent weeks, with our Podcast co-host and club insider revealing that the club are now prioritising these talks, with certain players top of the list.

“The club are looking to extend the contracts of both Jarrod Bowen and Vladimir Coufal, with these being the main priority at present,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“Once these agreements have hopefully been made, then talks will start for the likes of Johnson, Fornals and Mubuma.

“At this stage it is understood that calls on new deal offers for Ogbonna, Cresswell and Coventry will be made later down the line, pending how things are later in the season.”

West Ham are also likely to make a short-term contract offer to Jesse Lingard soon, with the player reported to be back training with the club again this week.

Ex will be keeping fans up to date on the progress of all contract matters on Patreon as they develop further.
