West Ham are continuing talks over Ibrahim Osman however issues may mean our attentions turn elsewhere, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

As had been reported by our club insider earlier in the transfer window, the club had identified the 19-year old Ghanaian winger as a target, with talks understood to be progressing.

However, it was reported in an update by Ex that talks had hit a stumbling block, which centres around the fee for the player, which the club are hoping his current club Nordsjælland will reduce so a deal can be concluded.

The player is also understood to be very keen on the move to east London, with Osman even taking to social media to hint that a possible move could be pending, however at this stage the stalled talks may mean West Ham turn our attentions elsewhere.

“The recruitment team and Moyes were all behind the signing but it is now thought that at the current price, following the “advice” received. the club are looking for a reduction in fee to offset the gamble that they feel the player represents,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“The latest Instagram post where Osman posted a cryptic message of eyes and a sand timer. I asked the club for some guidance on what the current situation is. Whilst there are still possible talks ahead where the situation could change planned for early next week.

“We expect the club to try again to land the Ghanaian as he has been the top target.”

Ex has now reported that the club will now look at alternative options, with former Celtic winger Jota, who is currently playing in Saudi with Al-Ittihad.

“Attention is expected to now shift to Jota if we can not get further profession with the Osman deal,” added Ex. “This is not an easy deal to complete either.”
