West Ham  are in talks over the possible sale of Said Benrahma this January, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

As was disclosed at the beginning of the window by our club insider, the Algerian winger has much interest, however French clubs have been leading the chase, with both Lyon and Marsielle keen on the former Brenford player.

It now appears Lyon are ready to up their pursuit for Benrahma, with Ex reporting that the club have received a formal offer, although its understood West Ham are holding out for an improved proposal from the French club.

“It appears that Lyon have finally made their move to sign Said Benrahma,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon last night. “This is a transfer we have been predicting all window and it appears they have turned the interest into an offer.

“Their initial bid appears to have been stalled. it is thought to be in the region of £15m plus add ons, however it is thought that West Ham are reviewing and possibly holding out for an improved offer.

“The other fact on whether a bid gets accepted could be on whether a replacement is signed before he is let go.

“West Ham have made it clear that they wish to sell Benrahma this window so we expect that an offer will be agreed soon.”

West Ham are continuing talks with other players to bring to east London, with talks for Ibrahim Osman stalling, therefore attention will now shift to former Celtic winger Jota.

Ex will keep fans up to date on the situation as it develops further, on The West Ham Way Patreon.
