West Ham have appointed a new Head of Recruitment for our clubs Academy, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

Following what has been a period of success in recent years for our famed Academy of Football, with the club securing the FA Youth Cup trophy last season alongside the U18 Premier League South title, the club are now continuing efforts to build on those triumphs.

There is much hope some that the crop of players that have delivered success for the Academy, which is run by former player Kenny Brown, will go on to become senior players for our Hammers in the years to come.

The club now are now working on developing our recruitment team further, with our Podcast co-host and club insider Ex revealing that a new Head of Recruitment is set to be appointed.

“West Ham have apparently appointed Ross Embleton from Colchester United as their new Academy Head of Recruitment,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“The 42 year old had a brief spell as Leyton Orient’s manager in 2020-2021 and comes to the table with over 20 years worth of experience in various coaching roles. Ross will work a notice period at Colchester before joining the club.”

At this stage no official announcement has been made by the club surrounding this appointment.
