A computer program makes shocking calculations about where West Ham will finish this season.

While the style of play is extremely controversial at West Ham, if they manage to get European football once again the large majority of fans will be happy with that. Unfortunately, today’s draw to Burnley could be massive in deciding whether they achieve that or not.

We all love the unpredictability of football, but sometimes patterns do emerge and Football Web Pages have attempted to use a number of factors to let a computer decide the league table.

It should come as no surprise that the Hammers’ awful form in 2024 has had a massive impact on where they will finish, according to the program, but some may be surprised at just how low they are predicted to finish.

As it stands, the Irons are believed to be on course to a 10th place finish, picking up just 11 more points before the end of the season. This is not the only shock as on-fire Wolves are said to be on their way to 11th place. Newcastle will apparently finish 1 position above Manchester United in 6th followed by Chelsea in 8th and Brighton in 9th.

At the top of the table, Arsenal may finish 1st, 5 points clear of Liverpool and 6 of Manchester City while the bottom 3 remains the same.

Thankfully, football is not decided by various mathematical equations or otherwise it would be a very boring sport indeed. Our Irons sit 7th in the league but face a tough run of games – things have to get better now if they are to beat the odds and earn a fourth consecutive season of European football.
