West Ham have reportedly had bid rejected for Brazilian wonder-kid.

Despite not knowing who their manager is going to be next season, West Ham are not wasting any time when it comes to transfers. Their ageing and thin squad means that they require a massive window, ideally making eight or more signings.

In order to make this happen, they’re going to need to sign some bargains. In particular, the Brazilian league has stood out to Tim Steidten as a market that represents great value for money and he has been scouring the South American nation for the next big thing.

Thankfully, he may just have found that in 19-year-old Wesley Gassova. The versatile attacker possesses pace as well as that typical Brazilian flair in abundance. While there were some initial concerns over his end product, fans have seemingly been won over after a sensational solo goal of his recently went viral.

According to Sports Witness, the Hammers had a €15 million bid rejected by Corinthians and have since followed up with an €18 million one. Initially, it looked like the Brazilian club were set to reject this but intermediaries are now encouraging them to change their stance.

Although he may be one for the future, he could have the quality to come in as a squad player rather than going into the youth set up. Obviously a lot of this is down to the manager, but he could certainly be a worthy investment if he is given the proper opportunities to develop himself.
