West Ham are interested in a move for Coventry City forward Viktor Gyokores as the club looks to strengthen their front line.

The 25-year-old striker had a superb season for the Sky Blues, registering 21 goals and 10 assists in the Championship to fire his side to a playoff final against all odds.

Coventry were edged 6-5 on penalties by Luton Town after a 1-1 draw in normal time, in what looks likely to be Gyokores’ last appearance for the Midlands club.

The Swede is in high demand with other clubs including Fulham, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sporting, all keen on a move for the Coventry star.

Gyokores is a real talent, originally brought to England by Brighton as a 19-year-old in 2018, he has proven over the last couple of seasons in the second tier that he has all of the qualities needed to potentially thrive in the top flight.

Quick, strong and with a sharp eye for goal, he looks like a perfect fit for West Ham who have an eye for signing gems from the second tier.

According to ExWHUEmployee, West Ham have been following Gyokores with interest over the past couple of seasons and could now look to make a move for the in-demand striker.

Coventry are said to be looking for around £20 million or more for their prized asset despite the player only having one year left on his contract and with negotiation, this is a fee well within West Ham’s capabilities.

Despite the clamor for his signature, Gyokores and his camp have not ruled out the option of running out his contract with the Sky Blues and moving on a free in 2024.

West Ham should look to act quick if they wish to secure the Swede’s services but the delay in the potential sale of Declan Rice has held up any final offers being submitted for new arrivals.
