West Ham captain Declan Rice is edging closer to a move to Arsenal after Manchester City pulled out of the race for our Hammers captain, ExWHUEmployee has confirmed.

The Gunners last night tabled a proposal of £100m with £5m in add-ons, which would break the British transfer record should it be accepted by our Hammers hierarchy, however ExWHUEmployee has reported that the 3rd offer has been stalled by the club due to the payment structure, although this is now set to be negotiated.

It is believed Arsenal have set out a payment structure of around 3/4 years with West Ham wanting it done within 2.

“They have broken the £100m mark and will now give David Sullivan something to seriously consider,” stated Ex on Patreon.

Ex has now confirmed that Manchester City are no longer in the race to sign Rice, leaving the pathway open to Arsenal to agree a package with West Ham that will suit all parties.

“We believe the ball is firmly in Arsenal’s court now,” added Ex. “With Arsenal’s latest offer and the preference of Rice to go to North London.

“As stated numerous times by us as well the problem is over instalments as we reported yesterday. West Ham want it over a shorter term (1-2 years) and Arsenal over a longer term (3-4 years) this is where the negotiating will have to happen.”

Ex will be keeping fans fully up to date on the progress of the transfer situation as it happens on Patreon.
